Consumer Electronics
I’ve already noticed that consumer electronics are going to be a hot item this year for the holidays! Even though the holiday season isn’t officially here yet, I’ve already noticed a few retailers mentioning great deals on consumer electronics and buying now while certain items are still available.
Personally, I think every year is a great time for consumer electronics, but that’s probably because by some standards I would be considered a technology geek. I don’t mind that little moniker, because truth is, I love consumer electronics. People ask me all the time how I know about certain products and what they do before they even come out. The answer is simple, I read. I like knowing what is happening in the world of consumer electronics and what better way to find out what’s going to be hitting the market and if it’s my next ‘must have’ item than to read about it?
Technology is growing so fast that by the time something hits the shelves, there is already a bigger and better version in the makings. That’s also the reason I like knowing what’s going on in the world of consumer electronics. If I’m planning to buy a particular product, only to find out a better version is coming out two months later, the obvious smart thing to do is wait. Unfortunately, I didn’t do that with my current smart phone. I’d been waiting for my contract to end so I could get it, and I did. Two months later, the newer phone came out with a few features that I would have loved to have, but because I didn’t read before I bought, I missed out. Lesson learned, the hard way.
