When my boys were growing-up, of course they wanted a video game console and video games for Christmas. Santa was generous that year and got them their first video game console, two controllers and some video games. I remember my kids both had to sit pretty close to the TV with their controllers and I had wished the wires were longer. Well, lo and behold a few years later, the wireless controller came out and that spelled freedom and so did the wireless router. No more cords or wires to mess up the flow of play or anything to trip over. What a fantastic concept in consumer electronics for that time. Now, all the kids and adults were free to move with the video game and sit comfortably away from the screen action. After that, playing video games with anyone anywhere in the world came to be and for my kids, it couldn’t get any better than that. Playing with far away friends or meeting new ones kept them online for hours at a time. Who knows what else is in store for the consoles and games, but I am sure my now young adult kids will keep up with it.
