It only makes sense to buy video games, a pocket PC, wireless router or the other assorted electronics, electronically. Online shopping is helpful not only from a cost standpoint. Favorite retailers like Doree's Value do offer great savings though. But online shopping gives all information a person could need in a few mouse clicks. Having the ability to check out the legitimacy of a company through a quick search, compare prices, watch unbiased review video and read the opinion of those who have already bought said product is more then I could do in a store where the salesperson has an interest in selling their products.

Consumer electronics is a huge market. There are few people who have the answers to all the questions I could have about a computer or video game at a department store. How many times have you asked a store employee a question and they returned with a general answer? This is why I look for all of my tech gear on the web. If I purchase something that doesn’t work out there is then no one to blame but myself which is better than feeling tricked.

The same is true for me, and I am sure that any of you who are reading this more than likely agree with me: saving money on the top consumer electronics that you love to use, like TVs, video game consoles, wireless controllers, computers, MP3 players, you name it, is just fantastic! The one thing that I have learned over the past few years is to harness the power of the World Wide Web to get the best deals on the consumer electronics that I want to get my hands on. In this manner I have saved mountains of cash, quite literally, on the best consumer electronics that you can get. The one thing that always shocks me is how much more they charge for the same top consumer electronics locally!

On Saturday, a few friends came over for a Memorial Day weekend get together of sorts. Like all great parties, there was music. I decided to use an online service available on my game console to stream favorite songs I’d saved in a library of eclectic genres. This library has techno, electronic, indie, classic, jazz, blues, rap, hip-hop, rock, alternative, pop and current singles. Since it is a streaming music service, I can only click ‘next’ on the wireless controller if the track isn’t appropriate at the time.

We were playing a drinking game at the kitchen table so next to my cards and beer was the wireless controller. Every time a song came on that didn’t sound great I switched to the next until finding the right choice. Playing DJ with a wireless controller is a lot of fun. Not sure if everyone liked my music choices but no one complained. One person said they had never heard half the music I was playing. That is a good thing. Game consoles are obviously great for video games but also music. I knew there was a reason I spent so much money online for gaming accessories.

It has been two years since my parents came to visit me and my husband here in the US. They have booked a vacation to come and see us in July of this year and I am really looking forward to it. One of the things I am looking forward to most is playing PS3 video games with my dad. You see the last time my parents visited me we did not have a Playstation 3 console at home. Now that we have a Playstation 3 console my dad and I will be able to compete against each other with PS3 video games. I have had more practice at playing PS3 video games than my dad so I should be able to kick his butt without too much trouble. My dad has always been a sore loser and a very smug winner, which should explain why I am looking forward to beating him at PS3 video games so much. If I were a betting woman I’d say once I beat him at PS3 video games he will probably buy a Playstation 3 console of his own once he returns to Britain just so he can beat me next time.

Santa was generous that year and got them their first video game console, two controllers and some video games. I remember my kids both had to sit pretty close to the TV with their controllers and I had wished the wires were longer. Well, lo and behold a few years later, the wireless controller came out and that spelled freedom and so did the wireless router. No more cords or wires to mess up the flow of play or anything to trip over. What a fantastic concept in consumer electronics for that time. Now, all the kids and adults were free to move with the video game and sit comfortably away from the screen action. After that, playing video games with anyone anywhere in the world came to be and for my kids, it couldn’t get any better than that. Playing with far away friends or meeting new ones kept them online for hours at a time. Who knows what else is in store for the consoles and games, but I am sure my now young adult kids will keep up with it.

The pocket PCs are pretty amazing. My sister bought one a few months ago and is now able to stay in touch with me when she travels or goes to work. She has the whole world at her fingertips and her pocket PC is smaller than a deck of cards.

Technology is just amazing. We have public Wi-Fi signals all over town and with a pocket PC, I could work anywhere I felt like it. I could even watch a movie when I head out to the coffee shop to get out of the house for a break. I've worked at home for years and one thing I know for a fact is that I need to go somewhere every day to stay fresh. My four walls get dull after a while, and I come back filled with new energy, ready to pick up the phone to get the next job done. With a pocket PC, I could literally work virtually anywhere, and I like that idea a great deal. <img src="http://login.wordpressors.com/controls/oboutSuite/Editor/Editor_data/ed_icons/emoticons/grin.gif" / alt="pocket pc">

No gamers could imagine going back from a wireless controller. Free range of movement melds a video game to the person playing. The only buzz kill comes when really getting into it and a rapid head movement rips the headset cord from the controller. It sucks talking to a friend online and right in the middle of a conversation the headset cord pulls out so you miss what they are saying. That and gaming with the standard headset looks more like a person taking an order in a fast food drive through. The wireless headset is inconspicuous, affordable and completely does away with any movement restrictions.

It doesn’t seem like a person would need all that free range of motion sitting on the couch playing video games but I have surprised myself. From excitement to frustration, I move all over the place. I’m ready to do away with the wires and step into the world of new technology.

We usually buy the kids video games or other consumer electronics that we know they want. For example this year the eldest child, Alisha, asked for a digital camera and each of the two boys wanted a new video game. I bought the digital camera and video games online so I got excellent value for money and did not have to spend too much money. I am happy that I got the kids consumer electronics instead of candy. Too many kids these days eat more candy than they should and some of them end up with diabetes because of it. I don’t want that to happen to any of my three step-grandkids because my husband and I are raising them and they feel like my own kids. That is why we would rather get then video games and control the amount of candy they get instead of giving them an excessive amount. The video games and other consumer electronics last a lot longer than chocolate and candy anyway so they make much better gifts, at least I think so.

I had no idea that the progress that had been made in the new MP3 and MP4 players since I last bought mine. Now there are MP3 players that will play movies, record FM stations, record voice, and play music. Some of the memory cards are massive, too. They are truly megapixel consumer electronics devices now and they shoot both videos and stills, so what used to require a 20 pound or better video camera can fit in my shirt pocket and weigh just ounces. And anybody with a computer can edit these movies, too. We did order new MP3 players for the kids that have all the bells and whistles and soon it'll be my turn to order brand new consumer electronics for myself to take advantage of all the progress that's been made in these everyday devices.

Wind pushes grey cumulous in front and past the rising sun. News reports have said rain will fall from early afternoon until evening. By the heavy looking sky, rain will probably be peppering the dry California sidewalks sooner then later. It is the weekend and I have no plans. Hopping out of the shower now awake but still in that peaceful state a nice winter rain can bring, my mind wanders to the next move. Some breakfast, check email, listen to music and then it is into a video game state of mind.

Better then daytime TV or braving the elements without an umbrella, a video game state of mind takes me from an Italian racetrack alive with the sound of rear wheel drive exotics to a WWII battlefield in the South Pacific. I’m soaring through the clouds in an old Japanese Zero before parachuting out towards the sandy island below. Concentration breaks as a friend sends me a game invite. Nothing like a video game state of mind.

Becoming slick online shining star with my favorite video games!

I am starting to realize that I am really getting the hand of playing the video games that I so adore when online. This video games prowess comes much to the dismay of my younger brother Douglas and my older brother Adam. You see all three of us live in different states. Doug lives in LA, I live in Arizona, and Adam lives in Vermont – but our video games and online play allow us to truly connect from time to time and see who has what it takes to be the best in the shooters and the racing games that we so fondly adore playing. We have actually started keeping an ongoing tally of wins and losses, mostly for bragging rights with our video games. To be honest, not gloating or exaggerating at all here, one single bit, I have won the past ten rounds in a row in the video games that we play online. My brothers, however, have sworn to enact their revenge upon me in future online video games battles. To this I say: bring on brothers, BRING IT ON!

I always say that tomorrow I will start an exercise program but somehow there is always something more exciting to do instead. My children bought me a Nintendo Wii for Christmas and now I am hooked. I spend at least 10 minutes a day on doing some form of exercise and I am enjoying doing it.
I didn't know much about the Wii until I went online and checked out all of the available games for it. I bought a video game just for fun and then bought a wireless controller.
I think I know why my kids bought me the Wii. They love it as much as I do. We play games in the evening after dinner and it a most enjoyable way for the family to be together. Sometimes we have bowling contests and I have even won on a few occasions. Many times these electronics come into favor and just as quickly they are put aside and forgotten, but I am sure the Nintendo Wii will be one of our favorite forms of fun for a very long time since there are so many different types of games to choose from.

My Own Pocket PC

I am a big believer in multi-tasking (when it's appropriate) and a big fan of doing things right the first time. I try to do things in a convenient manner and as easy as possible. There are so many different tools, resources and gadgets that can help make life convenient. I was very impressed when I got a pocket PC as a tool to help me do business better and keep me organized.

I love gadgets and how they help to streamline your daily activity. I have a pocket PC that I use everywhere I go and it conveniently gives me the information I need when I need it. I had to take my child in for a doctor's visit a few weeks back and the nurse had some questions for me regarding billing and insurance. She asked if I had made a payment on my account because her records were indicating that no payment had been made. Since I keep all of my files, business and personal, on my pocket PC, I was able to access my financial banking activity and tell her all of the information about the last payment that I had made. It saved me a phone call, wondering and pondering because I was able to give her an answer right away. My pocket PC is one impressive little unit.

Always Have an Extra Wireless Controller

My kids play their Nintendo Wii pretty frequently and their friends sometimes come over after school to play the games with them. When we first got the kids the Nintendo Wii game, we just had the two standard controllers that came with the unit. We had to immediately get about two more wireless controller sticks because there were times when the whole family wanted to play a game. Then, when their friends started coming over after school to play, there was always a kid who didn't have a wireless controller and couldn't participate in the fun.

I solved that problem by going online and ordering a pack of wireless controller units so that we would always have extra for anyone who wanted to play and to accommodate multiple players at a time. Of course, we were already the cool house with the Nintendo Wii game, but we quickly became the coolest house with the Nintendo Wii game because, as one kid put it, we had like a million wireless controller units! No, we really don't have a million but we certainly do have enough to keep a bunch of kids happy and not get bored.

Her kids got their wish, but my neighbor also wanted a Wii video game under the tree and she got her wish too. She said she needed to get back into an exercise routine and what better way than to get the Nintendo Wii Fit Plus video. They all love to play the video games as a family, so she wanted to give this video a try. I had never seen this video in action, so I came over to witness what all the fuss was about. What a great exercise set-up! The Nintendo Wii fitness video provided loads of all different kinds of ways to move. You choose and with the balance board it becomes more fun and challenging. My neighbor enjoys exercising with this Nintendo Wii program and she says she is sticking to it. I am tempted to purchase this for myself. We have come a long way from the exercise videos of old.
